I just wanted to let everyone know how nice it was that Jim passed on the Lookout Pass APRS equipment. I promise I will maintain it and keep it operations. Thank you Jim.

Howdy gang,
I had a nice talk with Jim WA7RVV today and got the remote login information for the APRS KPC-3 on Lookout Mountain. I wanted to confirm that Jim wanted his Mica Peak 145.15 tn 114.8 along with the weather from the Davis Vue, and the 444.200 tn 131.8 should remain on the beacon list. All will remain the same and I will confirm with W8SAI (Ted the owner of the site) wants his callsign on the APRS digipeater. If I make the change to he callsign, you will see W8SAI as the owner on the beacon.
It is nice having a remote access to APRS digipeater sites that I help maintain as I can do changes from my Ham Shack. http://www.nwaprs.info is where the suggested changes are posted for APRS in the NW. It can be a challenge some times making changes as I maintain CHILL, GOLDCR, UNVMTN, LOOKOT, MACPAS, TOSTON, BOLDER, and EAGLHD.
It certainly has been a labor of love putting these APRS digipeaters together and getting them installed. I have to really thank Tom (WR7AGT) for letting me put all these APRS digipeaters throughout Western at his AT&T/US Towers sites. Tom insisted that the digpeaters run off the battery backup (500 amps) for the sites UHF linked repeaters. Tom also supplied some of the vhf antennas and coax for the APRS system.
There are a couple more sites that will get APRS digipeaters this year in Montana. I was given some TNC's and Radios so I will give them away and the reward will be seeing them on the air covering areas without APRS in Montana. Woo Hoo !!!
