K7MT-10 RMS Packet Station Off the Air

Post by K7MT »

Howdy Gang, I took my RMS Packet station K7MT-10 on 145.010 off the air 01 June 2015. It is now listed as EMCOMM on the Winlink system and will test it monthly as per their suggestion. W7XY has a RMS Packet station to Winlink on the Montana packet system. I will be using APRS Link on the APRS system for Winlink e-mail.

I am using the radio/tnc (Alinco DR-135TP built in tnc) as a Sgate for ISS, PCSAT (NO-44), and the new PSAT on 145.825 mhz with a Eggbeater antenna. I have igated all three satellites and 16 stations over the last 5 days using the UISS program. Conclusion is the radio/tnc is definitely put to better use. System is running 24/7/365 on solar/battery that has been operation for 10 years for my APRS Igates terrestrial, HF, and now satellites. I will be adding Robust Packet to the HF side later this summer as it needs a SCS modem PTCIIex or newer.

Cheers Bill K7MT GEEHAW !!!
