Great manual for the newbie and the oldies to review. Just in case we as ham's forget why were here and how to act professionally on the airwaves.

I saw an arguement on Eham on "Taking Ownership of the Bands". They bashed the submitter, but in retrospec he was just trying to push the issue of taking responsibility of the bands, not ownership.

We've heard the colorfull metaphores and expliatives used during QSO's and the racial slurs. We shouldn't be drawn into the arguement, but a friendly reminder and taking some good notes or recordings for later filing with the FCC sure could help.

I've included the manual from the ARRL on the Radio Operators and Ethics Manual.
I had a similar issue during a JOTA demonstration when I came across these LIDS, how embarssing to promote a profession (were far from amateur) and to here this crap on the airwaves from those who think they own the band.

Just because you have a FCC license and your an Extra, General or Tech, does not give you ownership of a frequency, we must remember to share the bands and the main thing....BE PROFESSIONAL. Never, Ever stoop to the LIDS level of poor behaviour and radio operations.
