With ARRL Field Day fast approaching, who can tell me what year the first Field Day was held? Does anyone have any information on the results of that first Field Day i.e. winners etc.

1 year before the Glacier-Waterton hamfest started.

And since Field Day is not a Contest, everyone who participated were winners.
