NEW TESTING LOCATION - STARTING NOVEMBER 2010

Post by N7NBB »

Help to pass the word. The Volunteer Examiner Team has a NEW LOCATION to administer Amateur Radio License EXAMS. Starting November 2, 2010, EXAMS will be held at the Cascade County Disaster and Emergency Services Complex, in the classroom. The DES building is located at 521 1st Ave. NW. It's the former Weed & Mosquito Management facility. To enter the complex, come through the large chain link gate NORTH of the building. Access is off of 6th St. NW (across from Chuck's Chinese & Casino). Follow this link to get a map: http://www.w7eca.org/ve%20tests.htm (once at the site scroll down for the map).
As always sessions start at 7:00pm local time. REMEMBER TO BRING: a photo ID, your present license (if you have one), and $15 testing fee. If you have any questions, give a call to Dawn - AD7MT (406-899-3214) or send an E-Mail to me n7nbb@arrl.net, and we'll get back to you as soon as possible.

Since I deleted the topic that specified testing times and dates I will add this information here:

VE testing is held Tuesday following the first Monday of each month at 7PM.

Actually, VE testing is held on the Tuesday following the GFAARC club meeting.

The GFAARC club meeting is usually on the first Monday of the month, unless it happens to be a holiday. If the first Monday of the month is a holiday, the club meeting is delayed to the following Monday. VE testing then would be delayed as well, so as to follow the GFAARC meeting night.

It is always best to call in advance and confirm the testing night. This also gives the Volunteer Examiners a heads-up that someone is definitely coming for the test session.
