Hi folks;

I was browsing the web and ran across this site, and was very pleased to see the nice job being done. I was stationed at Malmstrom from 1963 to 1967 and became fairly active on 75 ssb locally on 3980 khz if memory serves me right. I was particularly interested but saddened to see some of the calls I worked on a regular basis: W7MM, W7RLL, W7WYG, W7KUH, W7BOZ, K7PKW, and others I don't remember anymore in the silent keys section.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay in Great Falls and seriously considered becoming a permanent resident after my discharge, but with the Anaconda plant shutdown etc, unemployment was pretty high and I decided to move back to Minnesota.

Keep up the good work!

73, Ted Saari K0QLM

Hi Ted, welcome to the site. Yes the Air force brought many of us (including myself) to this wonderful city. There are several hams in the local area, either still serving our country, or retired. Anyway glad to see you on and hope you continue to join us, we enjoy everyone's contributions. Who knows with a little checking I'm sure you can find someone you recognize that is still here, Eric K7ABV was around then and still very active. See you soon, and again welcome!
