Ok, I know that we can all cheat and look this up on the internet, but lets just try to use our brains on this one instead and figure out the answer. So here goes!

Who was the first to document Sunspots and what year did this happen?

I'm not good at this stuff,,but i'd say "on a cave drawing somewhere".......Probablly carved by a blind caveman!

Well, I have it on good autority that the Chinese Astronomer Gan De first recordered sunspots. The internet is our friend.

Thanks Richard, Yes that appears to be the case. The earliest case of recorded sunspots date back to 364 BC. Scientists say that sunspots have been with us for millions of years. Thanks for your reply.
