Howdy from Bill K7MT - I have been following a high altitude balloon launch from England several days ago. It is a small helium balloon with a micro solar powered transmitter on 70cm. It has made its way over Europe, Russia, Japan, and is now out over the Pacific at about 39,000 feet headed toward the U.S.

Above is a link to amsat UK for information, track, and link to software to decode the telemetry from the balloon if you are interested. I downloaded the software two days ago and have it running with my sound card signalink USB and my ICOM 706MKIIG on 70cm USB. I aimed my 70cm satellite antenna with pre-ampu to the Pacific Northwest and see if I can pick up the balloon if it makes it way over the pacific to the US. Woo Hoo !!
Just another way to use a sound card that will be fun and enjoyable.
Cheers Bill K7MT
