Howdy gang - George Forsyth (AA7GS Montana Section Manager) put out a bulletin with information about Montana's participation in this special event. A web page with information is at:
http://w1awinmontana.org/
I thought this would be a good place to help George get the word out to all Montana Hams.
Enjoy.

Howdy gang,
I see that Fred K7EX made up the web page for W1AWinmontana.org and sure want to make sure I get that in. Also Matt K7BG is working with Fred on this project. Thanks to both of you.. I finally visited the web site and again read the ARRL Section Bulletin from George AA7GS. Good thing I did as i missed this important infromation. Age is creeping up on me for sure. Hee Hee !!

Thanks for posting this Bill, this is a big event. For those who are interested in operating, go to the website
http://w1awinmontana.org/ and sign up to operate. This is a once in a lifetime chance to operate with the W1AW callsign!

Gentleman and ladies,
Just a quick clarification regarding being a "host" station. "Host" only means that you are hosting the W1AW callsign from your station. It doesn't mean you have to have anybody over other than yourself to operate. You must be an ARRL member to use the call from your own station and you will need to go to
http://w1awinmontana.org/
to sign up. There are plenty of open slots still for the upcoming June operation and SSB operators are needed as well as digital.
Thanks!
Matt--K7BG
Contact Fred(KE7X) or Me (K7BG) if after reading the info on the above webpage you have any questions.

Hi Matt - Thanks for the clarification etc. I read over everything and did forget to mention you need to be a ARRL Member and that host was you at your station etc. The web page explains everything very nicely so that is why I directed folks there to get all the information. If I am not on a wild land fire, I will try to help out. Looks like it is going to be a lot of fun. If I cannot make the June event, I will try for December.
Thanks for all your fine work for the Amateur Radio Event.
