Howdy gang,

Just a short note - I talked with Don Heide (W7MRI) yesterday and there was a meeting last Friday with the owners of TV site on Hogback montain. They are doing some construcstion at the site so the 145.450 repeater will be off the air for a while along with linking north and south. Don will let me know when we can go back up and put the repeater back on the air. TV enginer is having Donnie move the repeater from the upper attic to a new location in the building and that is really going to make it nice to work on. Donnie indicated that he has an excellent working relationship with the TV station engineer. Knowing Donnie all these years that is easy to understand.

The engineers are also having all the coax's come int the building via a new access and requires grounding of all the coax etc. This way it is done professionally and in one amateur time unit.

Thanks Donnie W7MRI and I look forward helping out with getting the 145.450 back on the air.

Howdy gang,

Early this morning Don Heide W7MRI picked me up and we got to Hogback Mountain around 10:30. We got all four of the coax's run to the new location for the repeater/link antennas and got the 145.450 minus 100 Tone back on the air. There are a couple issues that will be worked on in one amateur time unit....

Link is on to the Great Falls repeater 146.680 and I think minus with a 100 tone.

Don W7MRI is working on getting Cardwell linked before the snow flies. One amateur time unit...

Enjoy and hope to hear GF and folks to the north on to see if the 145.450 and links are working ok and if not what needs to be tuned, fixed, or hit with a big hammer... Hee Hee !!

It was just another excellent Ham Radio day putting up equipment with ham friends on a mountain top with just a tremendous view.

Cheers Bill K7MT
