New Repeater

Post by N7YO »

Here is a list of the most recent happenings with the 146.64 repeater.

Aug 2012 New MSF-5000 repeater installed. Arrived at site and the new ARCOM controller would not boot up. Left the repeater onsite , removed the controller and took with us. Reflashed the controllers firmware and checked programming.

Aug 2012 Returned to sight installed controller worked great.

Late Aug 2012 Repeater quit working again.

Sept 12 Returned to site found MSF controller locked up leaving squelch wide open, reset msf controller working good. Need to figure out a correction for this.

Sept 28 eRpeater quit working again.
Oct 13 2012 returned to site found ARCOM controller locked up would not reset. Same issue as when first installed. This time I had the firmware updater and accomplished the firmware reload. Installed a Sola constant voltage transformer, installed a relay to reset msf controller daily at 2am. Installed UHF radio and linked to the Highwood Baldy 146.74 repeater. **Note** If we have a problem with the ARCOM controller again I will install a new one and send the current one back for repairs.

Jim you and the GFAARC Repeater Group have worked effortlessly to keep the 64 repeater up and running. The 146.740 and all its links are a fine tribute to You and Your Bunch.
Keep Up The Great Work.
