Howdy gang, I just chatted with Jonothan, KD5ZHP, on APRS in Great Falls. He said they just moved from Texas to Great Falls. I passed on a big welcome to Montana and was nice to see him on APRS. If anyone out there gets a chance to welcome Jonothan that would sure be cool !! You might mention the great W7ECA web page to get him oriented and to find out where and when the hams meet.

Hi Bill,

We had a chance to chat with Jonathan (KF5ZHP) several weeks ago when Malmstrom AFB hosted a community fair. A variety of local organizations and clubs set up tables to inform newly arrived military personnel of all the clubs and activities that await them just outside the main gate. The Great Falls Area Amateur Radio Club (GFAARC) brought out their ARES Communications Trailer and set up in the parking lot to demonstrate emergency communications capabilities with HF/VHF/UHF equipment.
